About Team:
The Computer Vision Team at Jio Media develops next generation products and platforms doing computer vision research and engineering at scale. We drive cutting-edge and performance-critical systems that incorporates the latest innovations in deep learning as well as traditional computer vision to solve complex challenges specific to, but not limited to Surveillance use cases. Our work empowers thousands of Jio users as well as the broader Reliance ecosystem. Focused team has developed large scale Face Recognition, Automatic Number Plate Recognition, and intelligent Intruder Detection via Motion Detection.
About You:
You are versatile and self-driven engineer excited about building ML products at India scale solving complex algorithmic and infrastructure challenges. You have a background in computer science, data engineering, distributed systems and familiar with Deep Learning as applied to computer vision and creating software stack around it to serve the stack at the scale at which Jio/Reliance operates. You are a strong engineer, capable of not only implementing research ideas but also writing maintainable production grade code. You embrace ambiguity and adhere to the Jio values and ways of working centred around customer obsession, delivering value and ownership-mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with domain experts to refine, productionise, and scale ML models, integrating it in consumer products
- Develop and maintain pipelines, reusable tools and frameworks to automate all parts of the data science life cycle i.e. feature engineering, model training, testing, and deployment
- Participate in the broader engineering life cycle at Jio AI, including designing distributed systems, writing production code and data pipelines and conducting code reviews, working alongside other engineers and scientists
Skill Set Requirements:
Essential:
- At least 0.6-2 years of relevant experience in developing scalable and efficient software systems and platforms involving Computer Vision.
- Proficiency in Python along with a fair understanding of data structure, algorithms and their runtime complexities.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts in Python
- Bias towards engineering best practices like testing, CI/CD, Docker based containerization etc.
- Must have good fundamental hands-on knowledge of Linux, and Version Control System like git.
Experience in:
- Building Computer Vision based applications for a large-scale production environment
- Experience building ML platform stack on top of cloud platforms using Kubernetes
- Proven track-record of building and operating large-scale, high-throughput, low-latency production systems.
- Experience with microservice architectures and technology preferably using Python (Stack: Flask, Gunicorn, FastAPI, Docker, Nginx)
- Previous experience in integration of Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence / Deep Learning models into real-time and batch data pipelines
- Familiarity with machine learning models and related mathematics
Bonus:
- Familiarity with Nvidias Deep stream and Triton Workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and GCP.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (preferably Pytorch) and GPU computing (CUDA, OpenCL) and HPC.
- Publication in top conferences (i.e., CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ECCV, AAAI etc.)
- Experience developing low-latency real-time edge systems
- MS in computer science and related quantitative disciplines.
